Rena`s work spans between sculpture, performance, new technologies, and architectural installation through which she explores concepts of matter - ranging from computed, digitally fabricated form to the observation of natural and design of processes. Her work reflects on degrees of engineering and control, the relation between the natural and the human-made, and positions itself between the arts and science.

Rena studied architecture in Germany, Japan at the Tokyo University of Arts and in Austria at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Currently she is a Doctoral Researcher at the Chair for Digital Building Technologies at the Institute of Technology in Architecture at ETH Zurich in Switzerland.
